SONIC 3100
54mm Host Mount-tm

SONIC 3100 is a beefy rocket. Extra high strength components throughout facilitate flights over Mach 2 despite the large size and helps to withstand hard landings. The 54mm host mount accepts motors I to K as well as optional Interchange mounts for 29mm, 38mm or 3-24mm. Extra thick plywood fins and rings and triple strength aerospace spec tubing. Very simple assembly. Build in one day.

Definition Of Terms

SONIC 3100 can be slightly modified to accept new dual deployment systems and altimiters. The payload can be deployed on both sides of the coupler or both sides of the payload tube. This rocket is recomended for high power and high thrust sport flights. It flies surprisingly well on G60-8. Best flights are with USR I65-12, J125-12. SONIC 3100 has been successfully tested with as high of power as K250-12 with a payload and as high thrust as J880 with no payload. Test it for yourself!

All U.S. Rockets Experimental Rocket Series kits feature pre-cut plywood fins, heavy duty airframe tubes, strong elastic shock cord, illustrated assembly and flight instructions, decal and all the high quality parts needed to successfully assemble and fly a high performance model rocket. Parachutes, electronics, launcher, motors, glue, sandpaper, sealer and paint not included.

This build uses rail guides to launch and retainer clips
to hold the motor or "Interchange Mount"-tm into the
54mm (2.125" motor) "Host Mount"-tm.

The sleek lines allow for high speed flights with
some of the more demanding motors in 54mm and 38mm.

The entire "interchange Mount"-tm systems can be prepared
before the launch and interchanged at the field to save
time and increase the launching rate.
