"The G45 is a great Sparky at Dusk" - Richard M.
The G45 Firestarter has also been the subject of considerable controvercy. It was targeted by Vern Estes himself in 1992 for restriction from use by general consumers. This resulted in NAR conducting safety tests years later on sparky propellants and a conclusion that sparky propellants were no more hazardous than black powder motors which also have a spark hazard and have started more actual fires in practice, even as a percentage of units.

Here Gary Rosenfield of Aerotech is gawking at a USR G45-FS from Bob Kaplow's motor collection at a NARAM. A large crowd gathers to see the motor and the reactions.
Here is what it's all about. Fly that funky rocket, boy! USR G45-FS shows why it has excited crowds for decades! Nuff said.
